21st-century rock legend Jack White recently announced his plan to send a lawsuit against Donald Trump's campaign team over the unlicensed use of The White Stripes' song "Seven Nation Army".
The news comes via a post on White's Instagram showing the clip, originally posted by Trump's deputy director of communications Margo Martin
Jack White's caption shows no affection toward Trump or his team. "Don't even think about using my music you fascists," he writes, adding:
"Lawsuit coming from my lawyers about this (to add to your 5 thousand others). Have a great day at work today Margo Martin. And as long as I'm here, a double fuck you DonOLD for insulting our nation's veterans at Arlington you scum. You should lose every military family's vote immediately from that if ANYTHING makes sense anymore."
The end of White's caption is in reference to the most recent of Trump's long list of scandals, his public visit to Arlington National Cemetery amid his 2024 presidential campaign, despite the cemetery explicitly prohibiting its use for any and all political purposes.
There's currently no response to Jack White's lawsuit plan from Trump or any of his staff.
