Doja Cat teases new song from upcoming album

Doja Cat fans have had a very exciting couple of days. Up until now, details of the rapper/singer's follow up to her 2023 blockbuster album Scarlet have been few and far between. However, over the weekend, Doja hopped on Instagram Live to share a snippet of a never-before-heard song called "Jealous Type".

The song is an 80's style dance track that's heavy on the 808s. Doja took to X to confirm the lyrics:

“Boy, let me know if this is careless/I could be torn between two roads that I just can’t decide/Which one is leading me to hell or paradise?/Baby, I can’t hurt you, sure/But I’m the jealous type.”

If that wasn't enough to entice her fans, she then posted a photo with 16 song titles, which include "Jealous Type" as well as "Lipstain", "Kink", and "Couples Therapy". She captioned the post "Don't ask me where crack is rn," presumably referencing a since-deleted tweet in which she named "Crack" as one of the songs from her the upcoming project.

This is the closest we've gotten to knowing any official details about Doja Cat's next album. She has yet to announce a release date or an official title, although she has hinted in another since-deleted tweet that the project will be called "Vie".

Doja Cat has nonetheless had a busy couple of months. She recently performed at the 97th Academy Awards and has released a number of collaborations to tide her fans over, including her recent song with Jack Harlow, "Just Us". Check it out below.
