Doja Cat has shared the first single from her upcoming album Vie, releasing on September 26 via Kemosabe / RCA.
"Jealous Type" is the title of the track, and it points towards a new direction for Doja, poppier than her last album, Scarlet, and 80s-inspired — sonically and visually, with the video — but not entirely distancing herself from hip hop with a rap verse halfway through the tune.
The lead single is accompanied by a Boni Mata-directed music video, which you can watch below:
Jack Antonoff and Ari Starace (aka Y2K) produced the track and have writing credits alongside Doja.
The pop-rap artist will kick off her newly announced Ma Vie World Tour after Austin City Limits Festival, with only a handful of shows confirmed yet, but more coming soon. Pre-sale for select dates starts on Monday at local time; check yours here, and see all dates below:
