Doechii has had a dominating 2024 with the success of her mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal. Her success has led her to perform on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, NPR Music's highly coveted Tiny Desk, and a showstopping 30-minute set at the Camp Flog Gnaw Music Festival.
In a recent interview with Variety, Doechii confirmed that she is indeed working on a new album.
“All I can think about is this album, so I’m just looking forward to making more hits, making more music and achieving more of my goals. That’s it.”
The artist also gave insight into how she felt after Alligator Bites Never Heal earned three Grammy nominations.
“It just shows how conceptual the music really was. And for such a conceptual project to be a mixtape makes me very affirmed — that my ideas are great, and that people resonate with the music.”
Doechii just recently finished her Alligator Bites Never Heal Tour as the headlining act. She has previously supported Beyoncé, SZA, and Doja Cat on tour. She also was a featured guest in Rolling Stone's second annual "Musicians on Musicians." She was joined by Busta Rhymes, GloRilla and Brittany Howard. The sold out show took place at The Apollo Theater in New York City.
