Just over 30 minutes before its release, Doechii announced she was dropping "Anxiety," an old song from her days as a YouTuber. "Swamp I heard y'all loud and clear !" the Grammy winning rapper said on X.

The song heavily samples the 2011 hit "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye, and the hook was used on a track of the same name by rapper Sleepy Hollow in 2023.

The original video from 2020 is a reminder of Doechii's humble beginnings, as she raps/sings into a mic plugged into a Scarlet Solo on her bed, with B roll clips of her dancing around her room.
