Director’s Cut of JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown’s 'Scaring The Hoes' drops Wednesday, listen to "Manic!"

JPEGMAFIA is keeping his promise of releasing a Director’s Cut for every one of his albums; he’s done it for All My Heroes Are Cornballs, Veteran, I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU, and now for his collab album with Danny Brown on 2024’s SCARING THE HOES.

The experimental rapper and producer announced it on his Instagram account, marking the release for his birthday on October 22, and revealing that the deluxe edition will include three unreleased tracks from that era, as well as cleaned-up versions of the original album, so we might expect revamped mixes and slight retouches in the production of some songs, like what happened with previous Director’s cuts.

He also unveiled a previously-unreleased track called “Manic!”, whose cover art is the alternate cover of the SCARING THE HOES LP, a screenshot that tells you Peggy has blocked you on Twitter – an image many users who have partaken in any of the rapper’s online feuds may have sadly had to see in front of their screens. The track has credits from Danny Brown and will most likely be one of the unreleased tracks from the upcoming cut, although it apparently dates from the LP! era. Listen to the track below:

Here’s the full Instagram Story transcription:

"Releasing the final deluxe edition of the year, 'Scaring The Hoes: Director’s Cut' on my birthday, October 22nd. It includes three unreleased tracks from that era, along with a cleaned-up version of the original album.
I’m so thankful to have bodies of work that I own and am proud of. The focus right now is on the new. I haven’t released any new music in two years, but even though my eyes are on the future, it’s nice to step back and appreciate the work from the past.
Thank you for supporting me and this album. See you soon."
