The latest track to emerge from Fire Records' upcoming tribute LP to Howe Gelb and his long-running Giant Sand project is an Angel Deradoorian take on the title song from Giant Sand's 1992 album Center of the Universe. In place of the original's "desert-fried" rock, the former Dirty Projectors member takes the song in a spacey and hypnotic direction.
