Rappers Denzel Curry, Ferg (formerly A$AP Ferg), Bktherula, TiaCorine, and Key Nyata just announced they have formed supergroup The Scythe. They are set to release their debut record Strictly 4 The Scythe on March 6 via Loma Vista.

With the announcement, the group also released their first single, "Lit Effect", which features LAZER DIM 700. Listen below:

"Lit Effect" has plenty of those Southern rap vibes so beloved by Curry, in line with the King of Mischievous South mixtapes he dropped back in 2024. The album art also looks like something that could have been done by Pen & Pixel, responsible for legendary Memphis rap covers back in the 90s.

Aside from the five core members, Strictly 4 The Scythe will also feature Southern rap legend Juice J, Smino, Rich the Kid, and others.
