Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Daffo (real name Gabi Gamberg) has announced their debut record Where The Earth Bends. The album is due out September 26th via Concord Records, and is produced/mixed by indie veteran Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Beck, Cat Power).
With the announcement comes the record's fourth single "Habit". Watch the video below:
"Habit" tackles Gamberg's struggle with OCD. Of the song, they say
“I wrote that song at a moment when I was having a hard time with my OCD and cyclical thinking. It’s partly about how I tend to come to conclusions about certain situations before even allowing myself to experience them.”
Where The Earth Bends comes on the heels of a tumultuous coming of age for Gamberg. After releasing their first two EPs (Crisis Kit and Pest) at ages 17 and 19, Gamberg has already garnered praise for their uniquely confessional lyricism.
