Cursive release "Botch Job", the second new single from upcoming 'Devourer' record

Omaha heroes Cursive today have dropped their latest track, "Botch Job," setting the pace for their upcoming album, Devourer. The song comes with a visual treatment from director Travis Stevens (known for A Wounded Fawn, Jakob’s Wife, Girl On The Third Floor).

This release marks the second installment in their horror-themed video series, following the lead single "Up and Away," directed by Brea Grant. According to frontman Tim Kasher, "Botch Job" is a reflection on one's life choices and the unsettling feelings that may come with such introspection. The track navigates the restless nights fueled by anxiety. “It’s those anxiety-fueled gremlins keeping you restless in the dead of night, but put to song.”

Set for release on September 13th via Run For Cover Records, Devourer is now open for preorders.

Kasher talks about the new record:

I am obsessive about consuming the arts. Music, film, literature. I've come to recognize that I devour all of these art forms then, in turn, create my own versions of these things and spew them out onto the world. It's positive; you're part of an ecosystem. But I quickly recognized that the term, 'Devourer,' may also embody something gnarly, sinister.

Cursive is scheduled to perform at Riot Fest on September 20th and will kick-off their fall U.S. tour in support of Devourer on October 18th from their hometown in Omaha, NE.
