Metalcore lifers Converge are reportedly gearing up to drop a new full-length in 2026, titled Hum Of Hurt, with a June 5 release lined up through Epitaph. And if that sounds fast, it is, especially coming off Love Is Not Enough, which only just landed earlier this year and already felt like a statement of renewed intent.
That record was supposed to be the return. Their first proper album since 2017’s The Dusk In Us. Instead, it looks like it was just the tip of the iceberg.
Drummer Ben Koller hinted as much, describing sessions that weren’t just productive, they were overflowing. Twenty-seven ideas on the table, seventeen of them tracked. That’s a band with too much to say and not enough runtime to contain it.
Fans caught on quickly. When a cryptic billboard popped up in Boston, no context, just that familiar sense of unease paired with label branding.

Now it’s starting to make sense.
Listings on Apple Music point toward Hum Of Hurt arriving June 5, 2026, with the title track dropping April 1. A quick turnaround by any standard, but especially for a band this deep into their career, and this unwilling to coast.
However, it is worth noting that tomorrow is April fools day, so there is an outside chance that this whole thing is an elaborate prank. Imagine!?
