On Tuesday, March 17, pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen announced the birth of her first child with producer Cole M.G.N.

Publicising her pregnancy in 2025 before their October marriage ceremony at New York’s Chelsea Hotel, Jepsen penned a touching tribute to her new child in her Instagram story, noting that the last two weeks with her young family have been the best of her life.

"Last 2 weeks have been the best of my life," Jepsen wrote. “Welcome to the world, little one."

Though she hasn't released a new album since 2023's The Loveliest Time, Jepsen was active in 2025, playing a 10th anniversary show for her seminal 2015 album Emotion at the Troubadour in West Hollywood that sold out instantly before closing out the year with a three-song set at Suzhou Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Suzhou, China.

With an anniversary edition of Emotion landing on streaming last fall, only time will tell when new material comes fans' way from Jepsen, as she's rather busy at the moment with her new baby.
