Caricature drops surprise single "Smile Harder" featuring Seven)Suns

Returning after seven years of silence, East Coast progressive metallers Caricature have dropped a surprise new single, "Smile Harder", featuring string quartet Seven)Suns (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Imperial Triumphant).

Check out the visualizer for the song below:

Main man Joseph Spiller says of the track:

"I took quite a stretch away from making my own music, but Earl and SEVEN)SUNS dragged me back into producing and mixing for their version of Dillinger Escape Plan's 'One of Us is the Killer' (on Silent Pendulum Records) and to work on a new thing that hasn't come out yet. I started getting the itch a few years ago, and here we are with new stuff together. Bringing in friends to complete the lineup and being able to do something real raw to process some life stuff has been oddly a joy, despite the subject matter."

The brainchild of Spiller (Bionatops, ex-System Divide), "Smile Harder" also features lead guitar by longtime collaborator Ray Suhy (Six Feet Under) and drum lord Anup Sastry (Periphery, Jeff Loomis, WAIT, etc.).

No word on whether an album is coming down the pipeline, but let's hope.
