Cardi B has officially filed for divorce from her husband, Offset. Representatives for Cardi B shared that the decision is amicable and has been long overdue.
While Cardi B didn't directly comment on the filing, she did share a photo today, August 1, on Instagram revealing her pregnancy. The post included a heartfelt caption to her fans thanking them for their support, emphasizing how it has given a sense of resilience and renewal.
Cardi B shared:
With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!
The former couple, whose birth names are Belcalis Almanzar (Cardi B) and Kiari Cephus (Offset), were married in a secret wedding on September 20, 2017, in Atlanta, and they announced their engagement a month later. They currently share two children together, a 6-year-old daughter named Kulture and a 2-year-old son named Wave.
