‘Bully’ debuts at No. 1 according to gamma., deluxe album announced; Lauryn Hill records vocals for Ye

Ye has announced a deluxe edition of his latest album, Bully, and shared its first-week sales.

Per Billboard, Bully has debuted at No. 2 (BTS’s ARIRANG took the top spot), racking 152,000 equivalent album units; Independent media company and distributor gamma. — which Ye is currently in partnership with — has shared their own breakdown of the sales, reporting 200,997 full first-week sales, combining streaming (135,592 against Billboard’s 96,000), digital, physical (56,000 same as Billboard), and late-release adjustments.

On the same Instagram story, they report the upcoming release of a deluxe edition of Bully. Tracks such as “OUTSIDE” and “MISSION CONTROL” didn't make the cut, according to previous tracklists shared by Ye, which made fans think those will make it on the final cut.

Another point of controversy was the alleged appearance of AI in various tracks off the album, although Ye previously stated “NO AI” on the album. There’s no confirmation on whether the deluxe version will include updated mixes with no AI, but new versions of songs have been previewed by Ye at later listening parties.

Furthermore, Lauryn Hill has recently performed with Ye at SoFi Stadium on April 3, and has apparently recorded vocals for Ye per an Instagram story posted by Hill’s designer Jude Dontoh. You can hear the — allegedly AI — interpolation of The Supremes' 1966 song "You Can't Hurry Love" from Bully’s “I CAN’T WAIT”, now sung by Lauryn Hill in the snippet. There’s no confirmation if that will be on the deluxe album.
