Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, The Cure, and The Last Dinner Party, among others, were announced for the 2025 BRIT Awards nominations.
Tonight, The BRIT Awards held its official nomination ceremony at The NOW Building at Outernet, London. The award show was hosted by TV presenter Sian Welby and was live-streamed on Instagram for a special viewing.
A "Special thanks goes to Mastercard; our biggest sponsor for 27 years," says Welby. This year's winners can expect a new BRIT Award trophy crafted by multi-disciplinary artist Gabriel Moses.
Some notable mentions include Charli XCX who received five nominations, including Mastercard Album Of The Year, and Song Of The Year for her collaborative release "Guess" featuring Billie Eilish. International Group Of The Year also featured strong contenders, including Linkin Park, Amyl and the Sniffers, and Fontaines D.C.
The announcement also confirmed emerging singer-songwriter Myles Smith as the official BRIT Award Rising Star recipient. Last year the singer was praised for his critically acclaimed single "Stargazing" which gained over 600 million streams.
Public voting officially opens at 12:00pm (GMT) January 31 until 6pm (GMT) February 14. Fans can cast their votes via a WhatsApp channel using the link BRITs.co.uk/whatsapp.
The winners will be announced on March 1 at The O2 arena, London and broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX.
