Brent Hinds refers to former Mastodon bandmates as "horrible humans"

Brent Hinds, fiery founding member of Mastodon, parted ways with the band earlier this year. Since then, he has been active with his other projects, such as Fiend Without a Face. But now, Hinds has taken shots at the members of the band he played lead guitar in for around a quarter-century.

On an Instagram post by the band, commemorating 11 years since the 6/24/14 release of their album Once More 'Round the Sun, a fan commented "'Halloween' is definitely my #1 track on this record. Definitely gonna miss B. Hinds though." Hinds responded to the fan with the following: "I want [sic] miss being in a shit band with horrible humans .." You can view the post, and the comment, below.

Rhythm guitarist Bill Kelliher has been more diplomatic about the split, saying in an interview with Guitar World that "sometimes people grow apart, and they get interested in other things.

"We wish nothing but the best for Brent in chasing his dreams," he added.
