Bon Iver, Gracie Abrams, and Aaron Dessner release song to benefit gun violence prevention

Bon Iver has teamed up with Gracie Abrams and Aaron Dessner (the National) to release a new song, "Sold Out". The single benefits Everytown, a gun violence prevention organization.

Abrams and Dessner have frequently collaborated, while "Sold Out" marks the first time Bon Iver's Justin Vernon and Abrams have appeared on a track together. You can purchase the song on Bandcamp.

In a group statement, the artists explained that the song was written and recorded last year. It appears that the release of "Sold Out" happened as a result of the recent Brown University catastrophe.

"It’s a sad one to share during the holidays, but the world is hurting and we shouldn’t look away," the statement reads in part. "We are proud to support Everytown, an organization dedicated to ending gun violence in America. Please visit their website for more information on the unbelievable work they do."
