Chicago-based indie rockers Bnny have joined forces with Fire Talk-labelmates Wild Pink for a re-imagined version of "Good Stuff" – the lead single from Bnny's latest LP One Million and Three Love Songs.
Listen below:
This version of "Good Stuff" – produced by Alex Farrar – adds some layered guitar work and an extra verse from Wild Pink-frontman John Ross. Ross on the collaboration with Bnny:
‘Good Stuff’ is one my favorite songs I’ve heard in a while, so I was really excited to work with Jess on an alternate version. I’ve listened to it on repeat so many times. It’s such a dreamy song and I thought some heavy baritone guitars could be a different approach for it and I’m really excited about how it turned out.”
Bnny's Jessica Viscius says the fandom is very much mutual:
“I really loved John’s latest album, Dulling The Horns. His lyrics are like little poems and often funny too. So I was super excited when he was down to collab. He added such a great verse to ‘Good Stuff’ that I wanted to turn it into a call-and-response. The guitars and keys he layered in give the song this whole new dimension. It was already one of my favorites, and now I’m falling in love with it all over again.”
The Wild Pink-featured version of "Good Stuff" is featured on the deluxe edition of One Million and Three Love Songs, which arrives on April 4th via Fire Talk. You can preorder it here.
Both Bnny and Wild Pink will hit the road this summer.
