Billie Eilish kicked off 2025 on a high note as her track "Birds of a Feather" was crowned Spotify's most-streamed song of 2024. The hit, featured on her third album Hit Me Hard and Soft, amassed an impressive 1,775,172,881 streams, narrowly edging out Sabrina Carpenter’s "Espresso" by nearly 650,000 plays.

Released in May, "Birds of a Feather" climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has earned Eilish nominations for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance at the upcoming Grammy Awards.

Finneas, her brother and collaborator, shared his surprise at the song’s meteoric rise, telling Variety:

In some ways. I’m sort of extra-mistrustful when people tell me that they think something’s gonna be a big hit, because it feels like jinxing it — or because, usually, people say that about stuff that sounds like something else that already exists
You know, nobody said that about ‘Bad Guy’ before it came out, and I think the reason nobody said that was that it really sounded new. Anyway, that being said, every time we played ‘Birds of a Feather’ for the label or our close friends, they would kind of freak out.
