BBE Music announces Naive Melodies – a tribute album to legendary new wave band Talking Heads, out October 24.

The album features a myriad of artists such as Aja Monet, Kenny Dope & Roísín Murphy, Liv.e, Bilal, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Rosie Lowe, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Theo Croker & Theophilus London, Pachyman, Vicky Farewell, Wu-Lu, and more.

Brazilian artist Rogê reimagines the Little Creatures classic "Road To Nowhere" as a samba. You can listen to that track below:

The album was curated by Drew McFadden, who had previously curated BBE's David Bowie tribute record, Modern Love. Naive Melodies was mixed by Mikaelin 'Blue' Bluespruce (Solange, Blood Orange, Mariah Carey).

McFadden intended to explore the roots that Black music had on the band's discography. He had this to say on the release:

“With Naive Melodies, I wanted to spotlight the deep and oen overlooked influence of Black music on the sound of Talking Heads, drawing from the rhythmic foundations of Afro-diasporic traditions, soul, gospel, Latin, and spiritual jazz." He continues, “This project is a chance to reimagine Talking Heads’ legacy through the lens of the very innovations that helped shape it, bringing those influences to the forefront through the voices of today’s most forward-thinking artists.”
