Battlefield 6 players can now listen to a ton of different artists on the in-game radio station that launched today alongside the game's first season and the free-to-play Battlefield REDSEC.
Bands featured in-game include Limp Bizkit, Bob Dylan, Godsmack, Drowning Pool, Pantera, Snoop Dogg, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Dr. Dre, among others.
Players can now discover various radio stations in vehicles across multiplayer modes in Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. For those with the Battlefield Pro version of the Battlepass, vehicle drivers will have access to the exclusive Battlepass Radio, which features a number of legendary artists like Pantera and Dr. Dre. All players now have access to general radio stations, with tailored tracks across a number of musical genres.
EA Music Group head honcho Steve Schnur broke down the news:
“What’s happening with the music of Battlefield 6 is already unprecedented. From Henry Jackman’s cinematic score to Limp Bizkit’s explosive contributions, we are discovering what music can mean to both gaming and culture. This playlist takes the intensity of the soundtrack even further, bringing our impact to a whole new level.”
While some outlets are reporting this is a first for the franchise, Battlefield Vietnam features 18 Vietnam-era songs from bands like Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jefferson Airplane, Deep Purple, Edwin Starr, The Kinks, and others.
In collaboration with Spotify, EA has also curated an official Battlefield playlist encompassing the entire legacy of the gaming franchise, available to stream here.
