Many fans were disappointed to see that Bad Bunny didn’t include a single U.S. tour date in his upcoming DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS tour, especially as he’s heading to Europe for the first time since 2019.

In an interview with i-D, the artist elaborated on his decision to skip the U.S., citing concerns over ongoing ICE raids. “There were many reasons why I didn’t show up in the U.S., and none of them were out of hate—I’ve performed there many times. All of the shows have been successful. All of them have been magnificent,” he explained. “But there was the issue of — like, fucking ICE could be outside [my concert].”

Bad Bunny addressed the topic more offhandedly in a Variety cover story in June, calling performances in the country “unnecessary” and noting that fans had had ample opportunities to see him over the past six years.

The upcoming world tour kicks off on November 21 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, before making its way across Central America, South America, Europe, Australia, and Japan.
