Avery Cochrane has released a new single, “You’re the Only One (I Never Performed For),” the second single from her debut album, Vengeance Through My Omnipresence, out January 29, 2027 via Sounderview / S-Curve Records.
The song follows lead single”Toy Gun,” and comes with a DIY music video that pairs behind-the-scenes footage from Cochrane’s current tour with live performance shots, moments with her band, and her cat, which the press release describes as the only one she’s never performed for. Watch it here:
Cochrane has said the album title “means becoming undeniable,” and that the record follows a journey from loss and grief to revenge and acceptance. The 24-year-old Seattle native released her debut EP, Male Validation and Other Drugs, in March via S-Curve. Her song “Shapeshifting on a Saturday Night” was also featured in the Amazon Prime series Off Campus, and has passed 46 million views on social media.
Cochrane is currently on her first headlining run, the Weapons of Iridescence Tour, which wraps November 7 at Neumos in Seattle. At the tour’s New York stop at Bowery Ballroom, she brought a fan on stage to dance during “Losing Streak,” with the fan flipping a coin each night to decide whether Cochrane sings the made-up word “intricities” or the very real word “intricacies” in the live version. This year, she has performed at Summerfest and SXSW, played the Stonewall Inn to kick off Pride Month, and even joined AJR on a run of dates that included two nights at Red Rocks.
