Ariana Grande shares Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s call to Impeach Donald Trump over Iran Bombing

Ariana Grande re-posted a tweet from New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez this Sunday (July 22), calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump after his administration carried out a bombing in Iran on Saturday (July 21) without congressional approval. The singer shared the tweet on her Instagram story to her 374 million followers, but has since taken it down.

The original post by Ocasio-Cortez reads:

“The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers. He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations. It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment.”

The “Popular” singer followed that post with a new post criticizing the unpopular decision of the Trump administration to cut specialized support on the 988 National Suicide Hotline for LGBTQIA2+ callers. Voicing her displeasure, Grande also shared resources for at risk-youth, such as Trans Lifeline and The Trevor Project.

Grande has been known to be vocal on social media about her political views, previously sharing an endorsement for the 2024 Democratic Presidential candidate, former Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as in the wake of Hillary Clinton’s loss to Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
