It looks like renowned dance-rock outfit LCD Soundsystem will be releasing a new album in less than a year – their first full-length since 2017’s American Dream and 2019's live in-studio album Electric Lady Sessions.

The news has broken thanks to Primavera Sound’s press release for their line-up announcement, – featuring Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter as headliners – which briefly discloses the reveal:

“If this is a celebration, then let’s embrace LCD Soundsystem’s All My Friends as the official anthem of Primavera Sound Barcelona 2025. Almost twenty years after giving the world this dance-rock ode to friendship, the influential band led by James Murphy will come back to the festival (and with a new album!) to make it clear that, although they are an inherent part of our best memories, their time is always now.”

The James Murphy-led band recently premiered a new single, “X-Ray Eyes”, via the show Soup to Nuts w/ Anu, on NTS Radio. They hadn’t released new music since “new body rhumba” for the film White Noise, two years ago.

We’ll have to keep an eye on the band's upcoming performances for any new material, as they are about to kick off their Los Angeles residency next week, and have another one coming up in New York.
