Yesterday, November 27th, British IDM producer Richard D. James, aka Aphex Twin, dropped two new pieces of new material on the artist's user18081971 Soundcloud page. The tracks, "Zahl am1 live track 1" and "Zahl am1 live track 1c f760m1 unfinshd," are available online to stream.

Given that the tracks have similar titles, both are different edits of the same source material. This marks the first release of new Aphex Twin material since his compilation from last December, Music From The Merch Desk (2016-2023), a collection of songs and demos that the artist previewed at his live sets over the past decade. While it's unclear whether these two new tracks will see an official release, James specifically notes that he's "Got many requests for this on a few years back."
