Richard D. James, professionally known as Aphex Twin, has announced an expanded reissue of his 1993 album Surfing on Sine Waves, released under his alias Polygon Window.
The reissue will release through Warp Records on September 26 in 3xLP, CD, and cassette versions. The reissue will include three additional tracks from the companion EP Quoth, which came out the same year, including tracks "Bike Pump Meets Bucket", "Quoth (Wooden Thump Mix)", and "Iketa".
Surfing on Sine Waves was initially released as the second album in Warp Records’ Artificial Intelligence series, hosting fellow IDM icons like Autechre and B12. Last year, Aphex Twin reissued his seminal album, Selected Ambient Works Volume II, and the compilation Music From the Merch Desk (2016-2023), a limited-edition collection of rarities he initially sold as vinyl records on tour from 2016 to 2023.
