Iconic experimental outfit Animal Collective are gearing up to celebrate their sixth album, Feels, with a special 20th anniversary reissue out October 17 via Domino.
To celebrate the announcement, the band have released a demo version of album single "Grass", which you can check out below:
The release will consist of two editions: one featuring the original album plus nine b-sides and unreleased demos; and one featuring a compilation of live cuts recorded on MiniDisc from the 2004-05 touring era. The former will be out on 3xLP, 2xCD, and digitally; and the later – titled Feels live 04/05 – will be out on cassette, MiniDisc, and digitally. Both are out October 17.

Feels was the last album before their breakout seventh record, Strawberry Jam, which brought them a newfound scale of critical acclaim and live performance, including bigger venues and a late night TV debut on Conan O'Brien. It was their second LP to feature all four band members, and first to feature musicians outside the core group, including múm's Kría Brekkan (credited as "Doctess") on piano and Eyvind Kang on violin.
This reissue follows their 2024 anniversary reissue of the previous LP, Sung Tongs.
