Angel Olsen's recently announced Cosmic Waves Vol. 1 compilation project gets two more previews today with the dual release of a new Camp Saint Helene track "Wonder Now" and Olsen's ghostly acoustic cover of the Catskills-based band's "Farfisa Song" from their 2019 debut Mother.

Writing in a press release, Olsen says she first discovered Camp Saint Helene through artists Silken Weinberg and Angela Ricciardi while driving to North Carolina to shoot some visuals for her 2022 album Big Time. In her statement, Olsen says that the artists had been preparing to work with Camp Saint Helene at the time and played their new music in the car, adding:

"[It] was the perfect backdrop of cult folk for our adventure into the wild mountains of Buncombe county. After our shoot wrapped, I kept coming back to the record and feeling like it had encapsulated the memory of a chapter ending, and when I want to go back to the days of sunset at max patch, I put it on.”

Cosmic Waves Vol. 1 drops in full on 6 December via Olsen's own Jagjaguwar imprint somethingscosmic.
