Andrew Schulz speaks on diss from Kendrick Lamar

Comedian Andrew Schulz has recently commented on a perceived diss against him on Kendrick Lamar's recent record GNX. On opener "Wacced Out Murals", Kendrick remarks: "Don’t let no white comedian talk about no Black woman, that’s law," which many are interpreting as a reply to a statement that Schulz made about Black women on a podcast last year. Now, as a guest on the The Same Roberts Show on SiriusXM, Schulz has given his thoughts.

Schulz claimed that he received confirmation that the lyric is about him from Kendrick's team. To him, Kendrick was being a hypocrite by lambasting his comments while ignoring jokes made by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who he [Lamar] is currently making a movie with. South Park, and the creators, have long been known for their raunchy, sometimes problematic jokes, which Black women have often been made a target of.

Rather than fire back, Schulz decided to let things cool off, not wanting to create unnecessary drama. However, he was not afraid to voice his frustration with the alleged call to violence.

"It’s the most ego thing in the world to make, like it must be about me. It’s like I didn’t react for two weeks, and then I got confirmation. Basically his team reached out to somebody to be like, “Yo, we weren’t talking about you guys with that line about the killing shit, but it was about Schulz with this thing.” So I’m like, okay, you open your mouth, you say this thing about telling your fans to kill my friends. You get whatever’s coming to you and you fucking enjoy it."

In the full clip, Schulz also stated that the next lyric, "the n****s that coon, the n****s that bein’ groomed, slide on both of them," is a callout to Charlamagne Tha God and AlexxMedia, who are friends of his. However, Kendrick's team denied this.
