Amiture Music - the latest evolution of NYC's, Jack Whitescarver (fka Amiture) - are dropping music under the new moniker for the first time. The new song is called "Mountain" and it is available via Dots Per Inch.
You can check out the music video for "Mountain" below:
This is the first new song from Whitescarver following their 2024 record Mother Engine. Whitescarver provides vocals and guitar, Justin Fossella takes drums, Max Berine Shafer is on bass, and multi-instrumentalist/percussionist Allie Wrubel rounds out the quartet.
When speaking about the new group, Whitescarver had this to say:
“As musicians the four of us are able to access an unspoken knowing, a shared voice, and this intimate understanding has allowed us to blend and mold our distinct approaches and styles into a unified, total sound.”
The music video was shot in a somewhat experimental way. The singer had this to say about the accompanying video:
“It was shot and edited without any reference to the music. I wanted to see what would happen if the video followed its own rhythm, contrasting with the song’s. I realized that moments of synchronicity would emerge naturally, and leaving it up to chance gave it a softer, more organic feel than if I had edited to the beat. The scenes are all based on dreams, and we filmed it in just two days."
