Portland rapper Aminé has announced his third studio album, titled 13 Months of Sunshine. The album is set to release May 16th via 10k Projects, following up on his collaborative 2023 project with Kaytranada, Kaytraminé.
While Aminé is keeping fans at an arms distance for now with details, the producers credited for the lead single "Familiar" (Jim E-Stack, Buddy Ross, Loukeman, and Pasqué) make for an intriguing combination. Pasqué is Aminé's longtime producer, working with him as far back as singles such as 2016's "Caroline". The others, while not nearly as prevalent in Aminé's catalogue (if at all), have productions credits on the work of artists such as Travis Scott and Frank Ocean.

The tracklist will consist of 16 songs, with "Familiar" being the only material available so far. If this song's summery dance production is any indication, it's likely the record will follow the trajectory of Kaytraminé as well as his Twopointfive mixtape.

Though Aminé has remained an active voice in the world of hip hop and R&B, we haven't heard a solo studio record from him since 2020's Limbo.
