Alison Goldfrapp starts new record label, releases new single

UK electronic and dance pop auteur Alison Goldfrapp (of acclaimed duo Goldfrapp) has started her own record label, A.G. Records, and with the announcement has released a new single as the label’s first release. The song is called “I Wanna Be Loved (Just a Little Better)” and is out now across streaming platforms.  Coproduced and cowritten with Richard X, the track continues Goldfrapp’s jaunt down the dancefloor. While it has been several years since her band’s last album (2017’s Silver Eye), Goldfrapp has certainly kept busy. In addition to working with Royksopp on their last LP, she also released her debut solo album, The Love Invention, last year, and now with this new label up and running, she’s promising more new music is on the way.

“It’s an exciting new chapter for me after two decades in the industry,” says Goldfrapp of her new label and song. “To own my masters for the first time and share my music with the world in my own way feels really quite exhilarating.”

The new single will also be available on 7” vinyl later this year.
