"I ain't dead yet!": Dolly Parton shares video health update

Following days of speculation after she postponed some dates of her Las Vegas residency, Dolly Parton has shared a video to her Instagram addressing the rumors of her impending demise. Worries for her health began to escalate following a social media post by one of her sisters, Freida Parton, who has since apologized for causing such a stir.

"I wanted you to know that I'm not dying," she says in the clip, filmed backstage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. "I'm not ready to die yet. I don't think God is through with me and I ain't done working. So I love you for caring and keep praying for me."

In the video, Parton explains that she'd "let a lot of things go" following the death of her husband in March, and was being treated for some unnamed minor ailments. She also refers to an AI image that has been circulating of Reba McEntire visiting her in hospital. "We both look like we need to be buried," she says, laughing at the state of the picture. "I thought, oh my lord, if I was really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one at my deathbed. She might come visit me earlier.”
