Announced back in August, Adrian Younge's latest Linear Labs compilation Linear Labs: São Paolo dropped today, bringing with it the first look at Don't Cry for the Devil, an upcoming blaxploitation concept album produced by Younge and starring Snoop Dogg as a fictional '70s pimp named Silky Slim.
Details on the project remain slim, and the release date is still TBC, but the record is said to reference the production of Snoop Dogg's multi-million-selling 1993 debut Doggystyle, "as if it were produced by Isaac Hayes, Curtis Mayfield and Johnny Pate circa ‘76."
