A man grabbed Ariana Grande on the Wicked: For Good red carpet

Dan Weiss

At the premiere of her movie Wicked: For Good in Singapore, Ariana Grande was rushed and grabbed by a man who jumped the barricade and charged at her on the red carpet. Her costar Cynthia Erivo stepped in and pushed him away before security was able to intervene and arrest him. Terrible.

Almost as bad, the attacker (identified as Johnson Wen, who goes by Pyjama Man on his socials) posted video of the incident on his verified Instagram account and gloated about the assault, thanking Grande "for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You." Whatever, asshole. He was predictably torched in the comments.

Apparently, Wen has both done this before, jumping onstage and grabbing Katy Perry in Sydney, and been arrested for it previously, charged with entering enclosed land and obstructing a person in performance of work or duties in the Perry incident. He's shared several clips on his social media of these stunts before, to the amusement of no one. The unsettling footage is below, but don't run up on people you don't know and grab them.

What do you think?
