A$AP Rocky shares "Tailor Swif" 24hrs after a video teaser

It's been a busy 24 hours for the Harlem-born fashion killer, A$AP Rocky. On Thursday 29 August, the rapper officially tweeted the announcement of his brand-new single "Tailor Swif", with a teaser music video, writing, "SINCE U DUMMIES LEAKED IT ALREADY".

So far, A$AP has shared several singles in the lead-up to his highly-anticipated album Don't Be Dumb. Having recently dropped the nonchalant, "HIGHJACK" - a collaborative piece with Jessica Pratt, featuring avant-garde visuals. On "Tailor Swif" the rapper continues his abstract creative vision, with movie-poster-inspired cover art by AWGE and a frenzied music video co-directed by Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia.

Shared as a witty tongue-in-cheek play on Taylor Swift and his undeniable drip, throughout the song, the rapper loops the lyrics, "Go to my tailor, got me dripped up in the district (Yeah, wetty) / I'm too swift, don't tell Taylor 'bout this shit (Yeah, wetty)".

The rapper also shared in a recent interview with Billboard that he was keen to work with Tim Burton on the cover art for his latest. He says: "I sat and I played the album for Tim Burton, and he was f–king with it heavy". Despite the mutual interest, the two never managed to work together on his new record.

"Tailor Swif" is available on all streaming platforms now.
