Pittsburgh metalcore crew 156/Silence have announced their signing to Pure Noise Records and have released a new single "Our Parting Ways", out now on all major streaming services.
The band ventured out into the woods to film an accompanying music video directed by Errick Easterday. Vocalist Jack Murray gives off plenty of Alan Wake vibes with the campsite and flashlight. Check it out below:
The band's first single since the unfortunate passing of bassist Lukas Booker, "Our Parting Ways" sees guitarist Jimmy Howell lay down the low end on the Josh Schroeder-produced track.
Speaking about their new record deal, they commented:
"Pure Noise has always been a label we have all been fans of so when the option to sign with them was there we couldn't pass it up. Everyone at the label has been so accommodating and supportive, very excited for the future of 156 with Pure Noise!"
When asked about the song, the band shared:
"Our parting ways will always come together. The spaces left between what was and what is hold a place of their own to be remembered with grace. As the pages decrease in our story, we bleed to gain access to the memories of the path we once shared."
The band is also headed out on tour starting tonight in Michigan, and ending up in Chicago almost exactly one month later. Check all those dates down below.
