2024 was Lil Jon's most productive year in over a decade in terms of raw album output. He released two meditative albums, Total Meditation in February and Manifest Abundance: Affirmations Of Personal Growth in May, each alongside Kabir Sehgal, a multiple-time Grammy and Emmy award winner. Both are guided meditation albums that reflect the crunk producer's health-focused lifestyle. In a recent interview with CNN, he revealed that he has more material that hasn't been released yet.
In the interview, published on 7 December, 2024, Lil Jon said, "I have probably still like five more albums worth of stuff that we didn’t drop yet. It is a priority to me. Mental health is an extreme priority to me because, you know, black men, we’re taught to just suck it up and hold it in. I’m trying to give people options of how to deal with their mental stress.”
The interview was not his first time explaining his change in trajectory. He spoke to Rolling Stone in February about his original inspiration for Total Meditation, saying that he felt like there was more he could do in life despite his many accomplishments. “I started checking on my friends more, ‘Yo bro, what’s up? You good? How are you mentally and physically?’” he said.
He also revealed to Rolling Stone how he turned to meditation to help him through divorce.
Once I turned 50, a lot of things started to happen. I started going through a divorce. I’m separated right now. Going through that and all of the emotions of the divorce – anger and frustration and all of the ups and downs – I found meditation to calm me and to bring me more at peace; to look at life and situations in a different manner. I really got into meditating and saying my affirmations every day and also into manifestation. All of that tied together.
As of right now, no further details about Lil Jon's future meditative albums are confirmed. Fans can catch him as the special guest of Pitbull's upcoming European tour, which will begin in Dublin, Ireland on February 19.
