Fortnite seems confident there’s overlap between their players and Gorillaz fans, as the virtual band is reportedly set to become the next headliners of "Fortnite Festival".

"Fortnite Festival" is a rhythm-based mode within the game, similar to Rock Band or Guitar Hero. Each season spotlights a different headliner, with past stars including Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, The Weeknd, Metallica, and Lady Gaga. The current season is led by Bruno Mars.

According to recent leaks, Season 10’s headliners will be Gorillaz, who are expected to arrive with in-game skins for each band member and a large selection of their songs added as “Jam Tracks.”

The crossover also fuels speculation that Gorillaz have new music on the horizon, as Damon Albarn — the band’s human frontman — recently confirmed they’ll debut unheard material at their one-off shows tied to the London House of Kong exhibit.

Season 10 of Fortnite is set to kick off on August 26.
