Devilskin show derailed by human excrement in mosh pit: "tears, vomit, and chaos"

New Zealand metal band Devilskin are making headlines which, sadly, have nothing to do with their musical prowess. Halfway through their July 25 set at Union Hall, in the NZ city of Dunedin, concertgoers noticed a turd on the floor. By all accounts, it was a large one.

According to an Otago Daily Times report, a Devilskin fan in the mosh pit had shuffled out a piece of poop from his pants. One eyewitness said she "thought it was some guy's shoe, it was so big." Subsequently, the fecal matter was spread around – thanks to oblivious shoes tracking the human-formed mud – and triggered a poor soul nearby to vomit, resulting in a chain reaction of lost lunch.

The same crowd member explained that the foyer suddenly became host to a bunch of displaced metal enthusiasts, "and you would have thought someone had died [...] there was one lady with vomit in her hair, shit on her legs, and just crying, crying, crying." The "tears, vomit, and chaos" descriptor from the ODT headline seems to paint an apt picture.

Devilskin paused the show so that the disgusting mess could be cleaned up, and referenced it in an Instagram post after their concert. You can take a look at the faux ad below.

Local police subsequently apprehended a man identified as the rogue crapper, but no charges were filed.
