Canadian hypnagogic pop artist Cindy Lee (Patrick Flegel) has been on a tear this year with the overwhelming success of their latest album Diamond Jubilee. The album is just over two hours in length and has been praised by critics, fans, and music nerds alike.

Diamond Jubilee was recently shortlisted for this year's Polaris Prize.

While the artist did not make it to the event in person, they did premiere a new music video for the fan-favourite track, "If You Hear Me Crying". You can check the music video out below:

The video is directed by Phil Osborne, and the cel animation work is done by none other than Patrick Flegel.

Following the release of Diamond Jubilee, Cindy Lee had dominated the music zeitgeist, despite the album only being available via YouTube, and a GeoCities website! Its limited availability made it only accessible to those who were in online music circles or people who had found the video through YouTube suggestions. What started as a link to share between music-heads quickly spiraled into mass attention for the artist.

There was a very successful "Diamond Jubilee Tour" that had eventually been cancelled due to personal reasons.

If you are a Canadian citizen you can directly support Cindy Lee by sending an e-transfer of $30 CAD to realistikstudios@protonmail.com. The album is available to download for free through the GeoCities website.
