Bad Bunny sees U.S. Spotify streams increase by 470% since Super Bowl performance

Bad Bunny didn’t just win the Super Bowl halftime show – he won the algorithm, too.

After headlining the 2026 Super Bowl halftime stage, the Puerto Rican superstar saw his Spotify numbers explode, with streams jumping 470% in the U.S. and 210% globally. By Monday morning, Bad Bunny had fully taken over Spotify’s U.S. Daily Top Songs chart, locking down the top six spots like it was nothing.

The spike followed a landmark halftime performance that doubled as a love letter to Latino culture. Running through a hit-packed set that spanned his era-defining catalog, Bad Bunny turned the biggest stage in American sports into a global reggaetón block party. The moment went nuclear when he brought out Ricky Martin and Lady Gaga, a crossover flex that felt both strategic and historic. Martin, unsurprisingly, saw his own U.S. streams surge by 145% in the aftermath.

Fans clearly went back to do their homework. “Yo Perreo Sola”, the 2020 anthem that helped redefine mainstream reggaetón’s politics and aesthetics, saw a staggering 2,170% increase in streams. “El Apagón”, Bad Bunny’s 2022 protest-forward ode to Puerto Rico, jumped 1,320%. Even deeper cuts caught a second wind, with tracks like “CAFé CON RON” and “LO QUE LE PASÓ A HAWAii” seeing renewed interest — the latter elevated by an emotional live rendition from Martin during the show. Meanwhile, “DtMF” rode the momentum straight back onto the Billboard Hot 100, re-entering at No. 10.

The Super Bowl bump caps off an already massive stretch for Bad Bunny. In the month leading up to the game, he was streamed more than 1.3 billion times worldwide as fans prepped for both his Grammy appearance (where he won several awards, including Album of the Year) and the halftime spectacle. According to Spotify, listeners gravitated most toward standout tracks from his latest album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, including “DtMF”, “BAILE INoLVIDABLE”, “NUEVAYoL”, and “EoO”. Un Verano Sin Ti mainstay “Tití Me Preguntó” also remained in heavy rotation.

Curiously, Bad Bunny has wiped his instagram account following his Super Bowl performance, leaving his 52 million followers wondering why. He has also unfollowed everyone he was following on X and removed his profile photo.
