Here we have the debut full-length album from 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE, an 88rising-based, various artists collective who have strung together quite the feature list on this new LP here. You have everyone from Amaarae to BADBADNOTGOOD to Ghostface Killah to Souls of Mischief to Busta Rhymes, and also Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, The Budos Band as well.

Even though there are some decent standout songs here and there, and it's very impressive that this roster of artists has been assembled and brought together for this type of record. What I think this album illustrates is the difficulty of directing projects like this, creatively speaking, because while there are a lot of impressive names on this album, the performances and songs tend to be spotty and inconsistent. In fact, it feels like a compilation of random mid-tier songs with little to no vision, pulling all of it together at the end of the day.
