Stream: The Field – “Cupid’s Head”
A simple, repetitive beat. An interesting, chopped up vocal loop. Snail-paced, subtle alterations. In other words, it’s a new track from The Field. Helmer of the project Axel Willner has been pumping out this kind of music with awesome finesse for a few years now, stemming from his still-great debut From Here We Go Sublime. This song, the title track from his new record, is a wonderful reminder of what makes his music so effective. It almost takes on a drone-like quality, but keeps your toe tapping the whole time.
