Singer-songwriter and electronic music producer Baths has a new single out titled “Miasma Sky,” which is teasing toward the release of his sophomore full-length, Obsidian.
Though Baths’ eccentric, feathery vocals have maintained their place in his music, it would seem that a bit of the textured glitch hop sounds that made Cerulean such an interesting record have disappeared almost completely. It’s a shame to hear some of the more interesting sounds Baths was known for fail to make it onto this new track, but maybe others on Obsidian will present some more interesting synths and percussion.
