With a dreamy, slow motion beat from XXYYXX, Milo brings a surprisingly calm demeanor to a new collection of lyrical abstractions and nerdy references.
I’m loving the instrumental here. I’ve always thought XXYYXX’s stuff could use a bit more detail, but his usual simplicity seems to fit perfectly with an MC like Milo. The synth-rich outro is pretty climactic, too.
The lyrics continue an autobiographical narrative of puzzling proportions. Milo stands strong on webbed feet, sports teeth covered with granola, and holds onto his title as the rapper with the most Diablo 2 references.
Overall, it’s a great show of his versatility that he could make a quieter moment like this work. Looking forward to what this guy does next.
