With some laid -ack drumming, airy synths, a Metronomy sample, and falsetto vocals, “The Gold is Mine” is begging to be your windows-down, summer rap jam. To me, Odisee walks a nice line here between having a message, and coming across preachy. The songs hook could be a little stronger, but all in all I like this track.
