Here’s one of the many reasons I love MJF. He turned me on to this ish, so listen up.

This has got to be the most interesting video I’ve seen since Shad’s “Rose Garden,” which also used reverse techniques to subtly line up Shad’s lyrics with the video forwards and backwards.

On Prince Ea‘s “BACKWARDS RAPPERS,” things are a little different, because both his words and the video imply different things going forward and reverse. The song starts hedonistic with rhymes about money and hustlin corners. But once the track starts moving backwards, and Prince starts reading the previously recited lines in reverse, then the true intention of the song becomes clear.
